The Phillipine Eagle

Only about two hundred Phillipine Eagles survive. Its favourite food is a kind of monkey called a Colugo. It stands over 3 feet in height and has a windspan of about 6 feet. It weighs about 9 pounds.

The eggs are laid in a nest in one of the talest of trees in around January. Only One or two are laid every year.

The Phillipine Eagle is endangered by the destruction of its rainforest habitat being at the top of the foos chain it needs a large area of habitat to survive .It has also been a prized trophy for hunters in the past.

It is the Phillipine Islands National Bird.
